Do you have any questions or want more information about the workshop?
Street photography goes beyond just taking pictures on the street. It is the art of waiting for the ordinary to become extraordinary. It is capturing the pulsing soul of a city through a stolen gesture, a fleeting glance, or a perfect geometry between human elements and architecture.
In this 3-hour walking workshop, we will learn to perceive the most authentic vibrations of Venice, letting ourselves be guided by the flow of the city to anticipate the perfect moment. Together, we will train our eyes to ignore the monuments and focus instead on the power of dramatic shadows, the magic of reflections in the canals, and those small details that make every single moment unrepeatable.
What we will explore together
- The Invisible Approach: How to move through the streets and photograph people without being intrusive or causing awkwardness.
- The Instinct of the Moment: Learning to "predict" the action before it happens so you never miss a shot.
- Urban Geometries: Using architecture as a frame for human subjects.
- "Street" Settings: How to set up your camera (or smartphone) to be ready in less than a second.
- Ethics and Privacy: What can be photographed and how to manage the relationship with subjects in public places.
How the Workshop will take place
- Briefing & Mindset: We meet to talk about "vision". Before turning on the camera, we need to train the eye.
- Urban Incursion: We will walk through the most vibrant areas of the city (markets, piazze, narrow alleys) putting dynamic composition techniques into practice.
- Constant Support: You will be guided step-by-step, helping you overcome shyness and improve your field technique.
- Wrap-up & Analysis: A final discussion to analyze together the "stories" captured during the afternoon.
Who can participate?
Anyone who has the curiosity to tell a story. Whether you have a latest-generation Mirrorless camera or your Smartphone always in hand, the rules of Street Photography do not change.

Become a hunter of moments! A Street Photography workshop to learn how to capture the soul and stories of Venice.
Note: Get ready to walk and look around like you've never done before. Spots are limited to allow us to move around easily like a true "street photographer".
Absolutely yes! Photography is not just about complex technique, but above all about eye, composition, and light. The workshop is structured to teach you to see the world differently, regardless of the device you use.
For this specific daytime walking workshop, a tripod is not necessary and would risk slowing down your movements. We recommend traveling light to enjoy the walk.
The workshop will take place regularly even in case of light rain (which offers fantastic reflections and atmospheres for street photography!). In case of heavy thunderstorms or weather alerts, the event will be postponed or a full refund will be issued.
The workshop is conducted mainly in Italian. However, if you speak English, I can absolutely guide you with basic instructions and help you with your camera settings. While there won't be fluent, continuous English explanations throughout the event, if you have an adaptable spirit, you are more than welcome to join us!
